I'm pretty sure they are using those rims, and not the wider spoked rims that are on the photoshopped-looking early track pics of the Cobalt SS.

Does the Cobalt SS come with the same tires as the Redline? I don't remember which tires they were, but I remember one of the magazines (R&T maybe) said that the Redline had really great tires. On the negative side, I'm a little worried about winter. It's gonna be pretty expensive to get new winter wheels and tires for the Cobalt

Yeah I guess I could keep my Z as a winter beat.... it's got some decent winters. Or hey I could mount my Z winters on my nice rims and use those on the Cobalt.... or just drive my shitty old truck. Meh, guess I got options, but I think 15's (even though they are 205/60/15's) will look ugly on a Cobalt SS.

Just the rims that I use for summer on my Cavy, a pair of 15" American Racing Rims. Not great, but they look a heck of a lot better then the stockers for my car. I use those ugly POS's a winters on the Cavy.

Oh, I see. I'm not sure of that, I keep seeing two types... I like the ones with the thinner spokes alot better, but the Cobalt commotion site has the think ones, which I think are ugly.

You know I actually would like for the rims to come in 17" size and have 18" as an option, id take 17 just because 18 will probably hurt performance, and I hate wrecking rims just because of those damn holes in the roads

Those are the Racing Hart C5 wheels - but i HIGHLY doubt that they will come with those

Its more practical and likely that they will be using these wheels :

The SS Supercharged will have the GM Fat 5-Spoke wheel, pictured in the post above this one, Standard. The Racing Hart Wheel with the low profile tires will be optional, prolly around $1,000-$1500

ive also heard that unlike the redline, the cobalt's tires will be z rated....that should tell you around about where they will place the top speed govenor.

yeah the C5's look nice on it and all, but ive got other plans.

not bad, if those (fat ones) were 17's those would be cool, i'd get those and the racing harts c5's (18's) if they were an option, one for everyday use and the c5's for shows and events cuz the c5's go for over 1300 wouldnt mind them in gunmetal w/ polished lip that would look freaken sexxy. but polished looks nice. but now i'm more interested in the performance packages.
