RK Sport G5 Hood, Test Fit, Pics!
I installed the G5 hood to test fit it. Everything fits perfectly.
You do have to trim the 2 rubber peices on the left and right sides of the hood for it to close. Not the round turnable ones. The rectangular stationary rubber peices that run up the sides of the hood.
I didn't want to do that yet because the stocker is staying on untill she gets painted. The stocker is back on now.
So the pics show the hood closed half way but you get the idea. Gotta love the foggy halo.
After I get sprayed 2-tone in April, I will post pics.
The rubber peice that has to be trimed 1/2 inch off the top. Both sides, driver and passanger.
What the car will look like in April. Thanks Listerman.

looks tight
just let the halo dry when the warmer weather comes and run a nice thick bead of silicone around it, my painted stockers get some condensation, not that bad though;P
looking forward to the hood painted, should look sick!

don't like that hood on the cobalt...actually don't like that hood very much in general.
the way it makes the car have nostrils not for me...but to each their own...the two tone may help it out a bit.

Hmmm, I don't know? It would look great on a Pontiac but on a Chevy? Meh, I could go either way on it. But if you like it and thank goodness its fits perfectly then thats all that matters.
Myself I would think a Cowl Induction hood would look smokin hott on a Cobalt SS! Saddly noone makes one.

tru but the only thing I dont like about the vader hood is that it ramps up around the outlets. I talked to a few companies trying to get them to make a hood like this but no dice.

I got an idea. Probably won't work. But try getting a invader hood, then getting some custom cutting done to it? Would that be too expensive?
