RK Sport Hood

I am getting the RKSport hood very soon (this week), and I wanted to find out if anyone else who has one. Do you use the stock hood struts.. Like is the hood strong enought to use them. If you didn't use them, then what do you do instead..

I really hope I can use my stock hood struts.. Cause I would really hate to give them up because of the hood.. But I am still getting the hood, I just want even better news now..

Also can anyone photoshop a Cobalt with the hood on it.. Yellow with a black stripe coming down from the vent to the front of the hood.. I just wanna see if it would like nice, cause if it does I will get it done..

Here is sorta what I am after

I think alot of people want these, but they are too expensive to buy. Its like 500 pluss for the hood and then another 150 bones to ship. Not worth it yet. as far as your questions I dont see why not, see if you can find some images of the bottom, or shoot RK sports an email asking.

Does it automatically use all the stock latches and such.. Like why would urs need a built in hood latch.. I don't understand...

Sure there is many hoods to come out in the up coming year.. But.. I need a hood now since I smashed up my car in the winter sorta... And I am getting this hood at about $350CDN (rather then the $599US for the hood, plus shiping and paint etc).. So I mean I am saving probably about $1000 or whatever. So why not... I like the hood and I am geting a steal

The cobalt latch is installed into the Cobalt and can't be removed hence the reason Rk Sports hoods come with pre-installed latches. It has attachments for the stock hood shock and bolts up to the stock latches all the holes are pre-drilled making for an easy install.
