So there it is, will this fit a base cobalt? One thing i noticed was that it says g5 GT and i know that the base g5 and the gt have different rear bumpers so do u guys think it would hook up to a cobalt? If so has anyone done this? THANX

If it is a a lip, and not an entire new bumper..then yes it should fit no problem

^^^ i dont think thats a lip. i think the stock "lip" is part of the stock bumper. But the rksport lip should fit the cobalt. i dont see why it wouldnt. and if you wanted the entire G5 bumper, you just have to swap the tails and it would work.

I have the kit. Every single part of it would fit the cobalt. Even tho i have a G5 i know this for a fact. the RK sport g5 kit is the **** son, ill post pics up soon, oh and the backs only a lip.

yes, this is a lip kit and it should have no issue mounting up to either the SS or SS/SC rear bumper. It will not work with the base coupe or the sedan however.

I've got one and it looks like it's molded with the bumper, I dunno.. I'd have to look more closely I never really paid attention..

Yeah im pretty sure thats a lip, theres a part number for that at the dealerships and WILL fit cobalt ss but not cobalt base i believe

 

x2 i've seen prices for the "rear bumper extension" as its called in dealer terms. I really hope it is anyways since thats my plans for the rear.

the only difference between a g5gt and the g5 base rear bumper is the lip kit that comes with the GT...the bumpers are the same.

 

so what ur saying is that the g5 gt rear lip fits a base coupe? and that the rk sport body kit for the g5 fits the cobalt?

 

as long as its just a lip kit that u want from RK sport then yes it will fit on your cobalt.. and yes the G5GT coupe rear bumper will fit on a G5 base model coupe.
