Its not really the cars falt for gettin hit with rocks....

But I always try to avoide getting to close to anybody at highway speeds, watch for muddy ass trucks cause they always have softball sized rocks stuck under them, and maybe think about getting that clear plastic put on the lower half of the hood. I olmost got it done on mine when I first got it but didnt. so I got some rock chips too

wait, so you guys are saying that when you hit rocks driving around on the highway, your paint is not supposed to get chipped? that's because the paint sucks?

if you find paint that won't chip ever when you hit a rock while driving, you will become an overnight billionare... guaranteed.

Not saying that at all, but the paint is VERY thin and the clearcoat is crap. My alero, did the same driving as my balt... not nearly as many chips even after 4 years!

To get rid of them you need to get teh hood and bumper repainted. to prevent them you need to get a few good caots of paint and clear on the car and the 3M clear protective layer put over it.

yea it seems to me that every day theres a new speck that needs to get touched up. i would never get a bra though. imho its pointless. and after time youll have a 2 tone hood if you take it off after a long time. the paint sucks, and its not because of rock chips.

my car scrathces very easily too, i was just talking to my buddy about seeing if the next time we paint the car if he can do something to harden the paint, he told me its not really gonna work and that dupont makes pretty tuff paint as it is.

whatever it is, the car's gonna need new paint in about 2 years, maybe i'll just go 2-tone and get them to apply a 3rd or 4th layer of paint with some exrta clear
