I pressed Cntl + T to open a new tab.
I typed in www.google.com
I entered the keyword "dremel"
I clicked Search
I found the answer to your question
I typed in the reply to your post
I submitted the reply
I shoved a fork into my *******

Edit:
I came back to the computer.
I decided that I would like to save you 5 seconds
I repeated the above process minus the fork in the *******
I came back and edited my reply to your post
I added this link that will explain what a dremel is:

Basically what I was getting at was, yes your bumper might not have the slits, but with a Dremel tool you can simply cut the slits the the bumper fits. As soon as the tabs are through.. find a way to anchor it down so they won't slide back out.

Dremel's range from like $40 to 140, depending on the quality and how much control over speed and bits you want. I bought the adjustable 35,000 rpm, with 250 piece bit set for like $150 at Home Depot.

yeah i didn't want to put a whole new bumper on. i wasnt sure if it was possible to make an easy way to put the lip on. i didn't want to have to hand drill holes and possibly mess things up. i wished they had an easier way!

my buddy owns a shop and he had a fuser there, it's some kind of glue or something and he told me if the lip comes off a part of the bumper is gonna come to so it must be strong, i'll see if i can find out exactly what it is later.

I want to do this too. Is there somewhere we can buy the lip painted already?

I got the part number from GM-12336084 unpainted front bumper fascia extension, 2006 Cobalt SS. But that is unpainted. Where can we order either a full painted bumper or lip?

Also, where can I get the GTO style grill that you have...looks sweet!!
