Saab cluster swap?

I got an idea for a project, but I wanted to know how feasible this would be before I try to tackle it..

The standard cobalt Speedo gauge an all that's startin to get really bland for me and I've always liked how the SaaB's looked... I know it wouldn't be a direct plug-n-play kinda thing seeing as they're different cars, and the Saab's has the lil round parts on the bottom, but the shape shouldn't be 2 hard to fix..
The DIC(SIC) for their cluster reads out a lot more info than ours, but I figure since the 09's have the RPD functionality, more than enough info should be able to be read out with a lil work..

I understand this would be a lil more complicated than jus takin mine out an plugging one of these in but how hard woooooould it be???

How hard would somethin like this be to make work in my 09 Cobalt SS/TC??

Any help or input would be nice before I try to jus tackle this one :p

would be absolutely awesome if you can do it .. i know some cars had crossover clusters.. my saturn sc2 has a saturn vue redline cluster in it. I did it for the same reason you want to do yours lol it looks more luxurious. however with all the complications of the newer cars it might be different

on mine when you swap clusters the Service engine ( not the CEL) stays on.. but nothing a bit of electrical tape behind the gauge face couldn't fix

You need to find a wiring diagram for the SAAB cluster wiring, the Cobalt wiring and then compare what signals they use. I'd say the chance is good that is will work. A guy at work has an 08 I think and I noticed that the radio is exactly the same layout as ours button wise, just has a different face so probably the same guts. Anyways, just saying that odds are good it could be done.

The hardest part in my head so far is gonna be takin the existing cluster out.. The rest is just trial and error.. This'll also gimme an opportunity to do the rest of my Lil projects while my car is down lol
