Scratches on tint

since 1 week after getting my windows tinted, i have gotten white scratches on the inside of the window. this has increased dramatically over the last month......

i was curious to see if any other members have had this problem. i live on a dirt road, and i blast my window sills out at the carwash 4 times a week to avoid this. i have no doubts that the Eclipse dealer will re-tint my windows under warranty, but i want to see if anyone has found a fix.

if there is no beneficial repsonse to the previous info, i will take my car to the dealer and give em hell until they find a fix. im very dissappointed

Did you make sure not to roll your windows down for about a week?

Dude that sucks. The place i got my windows tinted gave me a 5 year warranty and said that if i wanst happy within anything just wait a month and bring it in. (think that was more for bubbles though) but i know they are warrantied for 5 years from anything. So you might want to give them a call to see if they cover anything. Hopefully they should take care of that for you.

i think there is an exposed screw or something on the inner part of the door, both of my windows have small holes in the exact same place on each window

Yeah.. If pebbles got in there and you put it up, it could cause scratches.

3 days

... it was fine...
and no, i do not have my windows rolled down on a dirt road.
obviously, small pebbles and dirt are causing the scratches, but i blast my window sills more than the average person. its a bit ridiculous. im starting to think there is a flaw in the felt that is in the door. i have a tint job on the STi and there are no scratches.

edit: mine is in the same spot on both windows..... no scratches anywhere else.... :S

Good idea. 2 weeks sounds like a lot though. I'd got 1 week.

I've got one faint scratch on my driver's side window. I've got a lifetime warranty on the tint... so I'll get it redone later...

Oh... and the instructions with the tint say only 3 days are necessary... but I waited a week just to be sure.
