Hahaha, yeah, that's the way to upgrade your shiny new Cobalt. Just throw a couple sheets in your car and make it look like you're remodeling.

Don't feel bad about the seat covers, I got **** from everyone about them. But, it's not their car its mine.

And yeah, you will probably have to remove the seat belt holder. Its fairly simple to do.

This is what I did to remove it.

1. there is a small hole on the opposite side of the button you push to adjust the height of the head rest.
2. get a paper clip and make the clip straight to insert it into the small hole.
3. once you get the rests removed, you can get some pliars and remove two metal circles (they look like thin wahsers) from the plastic seat belt holder.
4. remove the belt holder.
5. install the headrest again.

I've seen some seat cover sets that are specially cut for Cobalts, does anyone know if they actually fit well? I'm pretty hard up for cash these days and the gray seats really don't do anything for me.

I just snagged a set from...

coverking.com

I checked through their vendors for the cheapest, i paid about $170 shipped. They fit around everything great (including the seatbelt thing and the lumbar support on the drivers side). They don't fit perfect yet

I've got a set of the 2005 LT version for my 06 2.4. I have a set that are black on the sides with blue down the center, they match my car, best part is they don't look like autozone/walmart crap, they have pockets on the back of both passenger and driver and they make the seats a lot more comfortable.

I'll throw some pics up later.
