Shift knobs (2 things)

1. is the shift knob that comes on the hurst sts removeable so i can put a new one on if i want?
2. anyone every put a universal fit knob on the stock short throw?

1.No other knob will fit the Hurst unless its a Momo reverse lockout which they do not make anymore and you basicly would have to make it fit. You can mod your stock one to fit but you will have to cut the Hurst (wouldnt recommend that)
2. The momo with reverse lockout would be the only option you have but again good luck finding it. (Around $100)

Our vehicles have the reverse lockout feature so its very difficult to impossible to find a shift knob option. The only option we really have is basicly replacing the whole shifter assembly. TWM=$315 Hurst=$170 BPS=$200.00 (using stock knob).

Opt for base bushings if you really want to make your shifter feel better. Any of the STS will feel bettert with these

one of the first things i did when i got my car was take off the reverse lockout. made the stock shifter almost an inch shorter, then put on an 8ball shift knob i got from O'Reillys lmao

Ask TWM about an adapter they make for the HHR shifter to fit their knobs to the stock shifter, should work just fine

how u take the reverse lockout out? i would love to keep mine looking stock and drop it alittle lower.
