Shifter

Just picked up my new 2006 Laser Blue 5-speed Coupe today (non-SS, insurance killer at 20), and one of the first non-expensive things i think ill do is a new shifter/shift knob...any good suggestions??

B and M or Hurst short throws seem to be really popular all depends on what feel/ look you want

Those are both for the 2.0 only (different tranny, plus reverse lockout). TWM makes one for the 2.2 and 2.4 though.

the TWM looks good and i have heard good stuff about it, also be on the look out for the ebay specials those can be pretty good cause they are still all metal and only cost around 50 dollars. I would urge against a metal knob if you live in a place where it can get really hot or really cold or if you have sweaty hands.

Supposedly, yes. The main problem I've heard from people is getting the stock knob off.
