Shifter Trim
Shifter Trim
Hey guys, I am in the process of taking the trim pieces of the dash to have my painter color match them to the car for me. I also deciede to have the front cup holder painted and I was also thinking about the trim around the shifter. My car is an automatic and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if that trim/lip around the outside of the cutout for the shifter comes out and if so how. Thanks
super easy, it just snaps in... first, lift the ebrake, and reach behind it (you have to take the plastic part under the ebrake first) just go behind the plastic and pull, it should come right out... then you will have access to the other plastic part around the shifter... you may have to put it in drive to maneauve ?? it out... the lil silver part around the shifter is actually attached to the whole plastic piece, so paint it off and do it a way...
Think you can make a visual how to for that?
EDIT: Nevermind I figured it out but the part that I wanted to paint was a like rubber seal thing. O well, thanks for the information. Its amazing how our cars are like snap tight models with all the clips lol
