For any other Canadians reading this, Canadian Tire sells a short rubber mast (around 13") for $10 that is a direct plug and play replacement. Forget the part number. Probably no different from what Wal*Mart sells.

I had one on my '03 Sunfire for 3 years and it worked fine. Would have pulled it off and kept it for my Cobalt but I junked the OEM one a long time ago. How does an Antenna suck? Reception was always fine for me (hardly listen to the radio as it is) and it didn't lose shape too badly, only bent back a small amount. /shrug

I see. Guess I didn't notice because I just don't listen to the radio very much, and I don't leave the city hardly ever at all (and if I do I have a few cd's with me).

I woulnd't mind one of those real shorty anntenas but I'm sure it wouldn't take long for someone to help themselves and unscrew it from my car...

Its only $5 if someone steals it. No big deal.
