shorty antenna

i know this thread has been started at least 6 times, ive seen 3 variations of it, but im too lazy to find them again and they didnt really answer my question. so here is my question: WHERE CAN I GET A SHORTY ANTENNA FOR AN 07? i went to advanced auto picked up one for 5 bucks and sure enough it didnt fit, and somehow i lost a piece afterwards so now i cant return it or use it on another car. where can i get one that will fit me?

gracias

antennax

just ask for the 7mm adaptor also they suggest ordering the aluminum one and not the rubber one, cause the adapter doesn't stand out. That's the one I have and i love it.

I just ordered the Opel GT Antenna from GMPartsdirect I am gonna drill it out and tap it to fit the cobalt. It is only about 14" long but it is manufactured that way so the coils are tighter so you end up with a 14" that is "tuned" (they are all tuned to work at optimly at their heights) to the shorter height

You should be able to cut your antenna to about 8" (8" looks sweet!) and pick thtem up fine. I had one cut at 8" but live about 45 min. away and had a little static if I drove about 5 min. closer I had no prob.

A hack saw works fine and you can get one at WalMart for like $3 or $4. Wrap it with tape so the little wire stays attached

If you use a hacksaw cut 1/2 way then just break it. Make sure you cut the little wire.
