Im thinking about buying the shorty antenna from modern performance. I did a bunch of searches and some people said it did nothing to their reception and others said it knocked out the FM radio. How many people have bought this and never had a problem? If it does interfere with the reception, could I take it off and put my stock one back on?

Any help is greatly appreciated....

 

Well your reception is not going to be the same as with the stocker. People are saying there is no change becasue the stations they are listening to broadcast a strong enough signal for both antennas to pick it up is what i think they mean. As for removal, you can put the stock antenna back on easy, the shory goes on an off the same way as the stock one.

 

yeah my reception sucks nuts with the shorty antenna, but I also don't listen to the radio much. But I have to be deep in the broadcasting zone to get perfect sound from radio. I know the moment when I am behind a building or getting to far.

 

Well its not as good as the stock one, but I still get radio stations. It is worth it in my opinion.

Mine is terrible.

 

I just took some metal cutter and chopped mine in half. Still works great, no problems with any station around metro Detroit.
