Thanks. The scoop is real, positioned over the GMPP intake. The position of the scoop dictated the stripe - I wanted it to run just outside of the scoop (I didn't want the scoop straddling the stripe). Otherwise it would have been narrower. So it's somewhat a form/function issue. The guy that did it is truely an artist in vinyl (follow the links in my sig to see the work as it progressed).

I believe you said you have a red accent stripe in yours? It doesn't show in the pics - I'd love to see that up close.

How about SIDE STRIPES? Anybody have any that run along the sides at the bottom? I've never seen any pics of that.

I decided not to it's more of a ford thing to do that Like the mustangs and i felt it would cut my car in half and give me a balance i wasn't looking for. I wanted the stripes to feel like they have a beginning and end. Yes the color combo is very uniqe and most people go to a different color with a silver car . Deff happy how it turned out.

Good luck we'll look forward to see what you come up with Guy!!

did you actually think its a difference. you were asking about stripes. more specifically the color. i was trying to help and show you the colors. of coarse they are different cars.
and they aren't only for mustangs. they are called lemans stripes for a reason.
you've seen them on camaro, lemans, mustang, dodge trucks, and a variety of other vehicles. so its not a just a mustang thing.
this is the last time and try and give you guys a hand. If your going to be so picky when asking for help, go pay a business to photoshop your stripes on.

Killian I don't like that idea. But I don't know exactly what it would look like though but it would be interesting to see someone photoshop it on your car to give us a better idea!

I have pin stripes at the upper beltine - the key to these is great application. Mine are straight as an arrow and really look good because of it.

Stripes along the rocker panel will look a bit FORD, but I still like them. I don't think I've seen a Cobalt with them.

I've been looking at stripes myself. How wide are the stripes you all have on your cars? Also has anyone ordered any vinyl from this site: http://www.edecals.com/index.html

Has anyone ever considered doing a stripe across the hood, like some older Camaros have? Not sure how to pull it off, but it'd be different.

Also, I really like that red on silver. Mine's silver - and was trying to think of a good color to go with it, was leaning towards black or blue.. but good job on the red, looks awesome.
