They're just plug and play. A bit brighter, but not super bright so you won't blind oncoming drivers. I'm happy with them. Even with stock housing and eyelids, the light output is great.

they are really not much of an improvement. the stock halogens are just as bright.

just bought the silverstar ultras like 3 days ago. i was disappointed when i turned them on in the daylight because they didnt look a WHOLE lot different. then it got dark out and my opinion changed. they are noticeably whiter, and unlike some cheaper bulbs i have run before the light output is actually damn good. it does seem they are brighter and project light further. good enough review?

on another note, its always kinda bothered me about the headlight bulbs being much yellower than the fogs, and now they are the same whiteness

takes about 15 minutes or so, i had to pull the headlight assembly out, but if you have tiny hands you could do it without pulling them. its pretty easy to get out the headlights, just watch the paint on your front bumper

Just like mostly everybody else said, they are a little bit whiter and quite a bit brighter. I think that they actually seemed a little bit whiter after I painted my headlights black. BTW the Silverstar Signal bulbs w/ the amber lens removed looks soooooo hot.

I have Silverstars...the only problem is that a headlight bulb will buirn out every few months or so.........I've replaced my driverside bulb once since having them, and jusr had to replace my passenger side last week.......and I've had them for about 6 months.....so htey will burn out but they're not too expenisve to replace so I wouldn't worry and they look great

Very happy with mine. Quick easy change, and they now match the color of the fog lights. Brighter and whiter. I've had mine in for about a year now, with no issues.

I always hear everyone say that but I haven't had any burn out on me. Maybe I'm just lucky...

Yea it looks pretty sick. I noticed that you have an '06, so to get the true effect you would need to open up the lights and remove the amber lens, otherwise it would be a waste (you would still see amber when the bulb is off). Check out https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/how-paint-your-headlights-lots-pics-56k-mabye-16874/ if you aren't sure what I'm talking about.

Thats why they made the new Ultra, its only real gain over the regular one is much longer life. I have a pair for sale if anyone wants them, brand new, $25 shipped.

I put Silverstars in my projectors about a month or 2 ago. Both are already burned out......I'm very disappointed with them. Color wasn't much different, and they weren't brighter than stock. Waste of money IMO.
