Question SilverStar ULTRAs?

The stock headlights don't seem the greatest on my 2007 cobalt. Are silverstar ultras my best bet for different bulbs or are there something better/brighter? Thanks!

HID's in a projector housing would be the best. But im Happy with my silverstar ultras. and just a tip. also aim the headlight very slightly higher. not enough to blind oncoming traffic. but just a touch. it opens up the field of view so much. My bros LS and My SS both benefited from raising the beam alil bit

Do you notice a improvement from the silverstar ultras compared to stock bulbs?

yes they are better.

Things to note, HIDs are about triple but put off a lot more light.

Don't touch silverstars with your bare hand. The oil from your hand will shorten the lifespan of the bulb. I have used silverstars twice and was not impressed with their lifespan.

Do the high beams have a different part number? I can only seem to find the low beam bulb... or am I mistaken?

I jus installed silver star ultras in my sisters sunfire. The box says they are supposed to only last 12 months... But the light output is quite good for halogens

Damn and for $35 bucks. I guess that isn't all too bad for good lighting without going to HID's.

I had SilverStars and now have HIDs. For $30 more HID's were very much worth it.

I never have like the silverstars. HIDs are alot better. They are brighter, but not enough to justify spending 100.00 on new bulbs

IMO there is no comparison between halogen bulbs (of any brand) and HIDs. The HIDs will always win. For the price you pay for a pair of bulbs, you can spend a little bit more and get lights that will make the road look like it's daylight out.
