SMASHED black...

and by that i mean FLAT black. Has anybody done a gloss black car but the center portion of the hood, the roof and the trunk flat black?? I did a little search and could only find All flat black or a yellow balt with flat black accents.

Reason being..my car suffered some major hail damage as has to have the hood, roof and trunk replaced and the rest of the car repainted...so i figured while im at it...may try to do something a little different.

If anybody knows of anybody...link me up! and if not...could somebody photoshop one for me?? I would be oh so grateful! Thanks!

think so? i know i wasn't a fan of all flat black. but i figured the center hood and roof might look good. maybe if i seperated the flat and gloss with like a silver pinstripe or something?

nah dude, just leave it gloss. if you want a good example of a well executed two tone look up gestapo007. flat black requires hard lines

i can get a pic if you want one? of the guys at my work has a red tint coat ss/tc, with satin black on my old highrise (not a fan of it so i sold it) and satin black on the hood but not the whole hood, and i'm planning on doing the satin black on my hood, lip, roof, and trunk shortly (within the next 5 months.... i love it personally)

so i guess what i'm saying is i have some pics if you wanna see satin black.....

no. hard lines as in hard body lines. like evo's can get away with flat black since they have so many hard lines. our cars just look kind of blah in flat black

alright thats what i thought. well i know it wouldnt look good with just a change. thats why i would probably put like a silver pinstripe to separate them...would that kinda work?

and if you could get me a picture that would be sweet

See i think that looks pretty sick. thats how i would do my hood as well...and then the roof. and the trunk. but again...im having trouble with the glossblack/satinblack look haha. i wish i was cool with photoshop (or had it for that matter) haha

and yea some black wheels and tint would set it off for sure.

Thanks for the pics

Is it a possibility that i could get anybody to Photoshop my idea?

Flat/satin black like above with a silver pinstripe to separate the two. i have some pics to go off of in my gallery...or another one from somewhere else would work better..that'd be fine too.

Flat black on Cobalts just looks Honda-ish. Looks like primer or like you just forgot to paint something. Same thing with GTOs they're just too bubbly for flat paint. Stick with all gloss.
