sratched rims

never mind the point i cant spell.
i have a set of 18 inch motegi black wheels that has a aluminum face and i keep rubbinb them againist the curb and now there scratched to hell and back. how woul di fix that issue?

get new rims Curb damage is near impossible to fix. Especially to make it not noticable.

this wont help you very much, but it may help others that want to buy new rims/tires... when i bought rims i got bigger wider tires so i wouldnt curb my rims i got 225/45/17 tires and i've hit the curb 3 times and havent scratched my rims..

if you have any skills sanding and body work....rough up the scratches with 36 grit. then tape off the good area as well as the tire. use some kitty hair (aka short strand reinforced body filler) and spread on the missing chunk to make it level. sand with 36, then 80 then 150 and finally 220. then wet sand with 400 and 600 and paint

hope this helps. it will not take to long to do and you will not have the polished lip anymore, you will have to pick a color
