just spend the 50$ trust me, i thought my clips from home deopt were the ****, i even used 3m double sided tape to reinforce it, and nothing will hold up better than the clips meant for the lip.

Should of just bought an ss. The money you'll spend to turn it into an ss will end up costing you the same amount of money to buy an ss. Just trade it in for an ss what's the difference?

Yes it is, but either way it's still the highest trim.. Yes the Evo is just a Lancer but there is a big diff inbetween..

What did his post have to do with his mods? He is pretty right ..I'm sure to do a full SS/SC clone though it will actually cost more than just getting one to begin with.

 

maybe cost had nothing to do with it, when i got my ss/na i was 15 and a half years old, i begged and begged for an ss/sc but my parents would not give in.. This was no money issue, when i graduated high school with no speeding tickets and complete responsibility for driving i got my ss/tc.

My car is a supercharger and lipkit away from being an SS.... My "mods" have nothing to do with "making it a SS"

Also even if I did put a lip kit on so what you really can't say I'm trying to be an s cause my car is more than half way to being one stock. Especially cause it came stock with the lower rocker panels.

I know that I'm just saying if anyone were to try and call me an imitator. And what are you talking about I didn't shoot him down, I'm giving him reasonable advice. Instead of spending all this money time and work turning an LS into an SS, he can spend the same money and get a new ss already with everything he wants. Besides its only advice. I'm not TELLING him to just suggesting that maybe that's a better route to go unless he wants to enjoy doing the work on the car like his project then I say go all for it! It's his car, his decision.

Some people simply get the best car they can afford and spend their time and money to slowly do what they can with what they've got. Guy just wants his LS to look better, plain and simple. Not worth the hassle of getting rid of the car and getting an actual SS.

and that i will, at the time thats all my budget could afford and since i have a steady income and i'm only 20 i enjoy modding my car along with almost eveyrone else on this forum. i'm a do it yourselfer and love the challege and satisfaction of a professional looking finished product. hell i even tinted my own windows, i pair $15 instead of a couple hundred and it came out great. it's a feeling of accomplishment to be able to say "I did the work myself" or when ppl ask, who installed this or painted this I can say, I did.

 

perhaps he bought an ls cuz he couldnt get the financing for hte ss/sc....now that doesnt mean u dotn have money..but just not the greatest credit...and if i was in his postion which iwas once...i would do the same...not everyone has mommy n daddy to back them up on buying a car...get your head out of your ass man...and another thing is perhaps he didnt want the hassles of drivin a forced injection car...yah its stock so not much will go wrong but still...less problems with a n/a engine. again...you need to read outside the box.

 

not sure where this thread went but i will get pics once it's painted and installed within the next 2 weeks. some people will hate but its an on going project and when i'm done it's not going to look rice, it will be classy and professional looking... I HOPE LOL
