my only worry is that it might not look right without anything else on my LS, ie wheels, etc. Also, what does everyone think about CF hoods on black cars? I like the contrast of CF on white, yellow, silver, etc.
From far away you wont be able to tell, but up close is it going to look odd?
Any sample pictures would help, Cobalt or not.

One of my friends has a carbon fiber hood on his black civic v-tec. It looks pretty decent. From far away you cant tell but when it gets closer you can start seeing the carbon hood and it looks pretty good.

Why on earth would you paint a c/f hood? Anyone else curious if you want to paint a hood don't do it to a c/f for two reasons
1. The point of a c/f hood is to reduce weight and it does so by being a lightweight material if you paint it you add at least 10 to 15 pounds on it therefore making it just as heavy as a stock hood. (Defeating the whole purpose)
2. Some c/f hoods do not paint well, I have no idea why just heard bad stories of them sanding the gel coat off trying to paint it and it turning out rippled like a ****.
So save your money if you still want to paint a c/f hood!
