SS/SC Front Bumper Lip
SS/SC Front Bumper Lip
Will someone do me a favor and let me know how that lower front lip on the SC bumper is attached? I have a SS n/a and I want to buy that "chin lip" from GM Parts Direct. I just don't know how it is attached. I know that it is a separate piece from the bumper. I just don't know how it attaches.
If someone is working on their car and takes a look at the under side, let me know what it is like. I'd really appreciate it!

There's a bunch of little plastic clips that hold it on.

These are from my accident, they should help.
Dude, thank you. That helps a lot. I am thinking I may have to dremmel slots in my bumper to get that to work now. When the plastic clips slide through the bumper, what holds them in place? More plastic clips I assume.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I put the front and rear lips on my NA, cutting all the slots out is a pain in the royal ass, but the end result is worth it. You need the clips that go on the inside of the bumper to hold the lip in, which are actually metal not plastic. I think there's a total of 26 clips. 12 in the front and 14 in the back or something along those lines. The clips aren't cheap either, so good luck finding a deal on them.
On a side note, your bumper will have markings on the back side telling you where all the slots actually go, so you don't have to do any measuring, just take the bumpers off the car and go nuts with a dremel.
