Im trying to buy the front lip for my SS/NA and im looking at gmpartsdirect.com and i wanna know exactly wut pieces i would need. im attaching the diagram that they have so i can get some visual support also...




iknow i need 16, but wut pieces would i need to make it able to use the tabs?

 

number 16. only thing is our bumpers dont have the slots for the lip to fit in, so you'll either have to cut some or find another way to install.

 

lol i put 16.. i wanna know wut the number is for the other stuff id need to connect it like a regular ss/sc... i dont mind cutting it, cuz my 2000 z24 didnt come with lips and a friend and i cut the stock bumper to make it fit and did a decent job.

 

you would need the whole front bumper from an ss/sc which would be piece 1... it would be much easier to modify your stock bumper. you could even cut the tabs off the lip and find a way to attach it. someone on here did that i cant remember how though

 

man... i just want to know wut clips are needed. for the cavy i needed a clip and an attachment piece for it. my question is which number up there is to the pieces that connect the tab to the bumper?

 

i dont think there are any other pieces you need, just the lip. let someone else double check me though.

 

I just bought the whole bumper for a decent price on ebay, the ss bumper don't have those grill inserts in the bumper by the fogs thats so ugly, the bumper has a slightly different cut and the spaces for the fogs are not inserts but a part of the bumper.

 

You need the clips numbered 18 to attach the lip the way it's meant to be mounted to the bumper. You need 12 of them.

CinciSS07 made me laugh. And our bumpers may not have the slits in them, but they do appear there (lines where you should cut) Ik some ppl just used adhesive 3M Trim Glue with rivots on both ends. I wanted the lip as well, but think im going to just get the G5 RKSport bumper

i got this installed awhile back.. there's outlines for the slits on the front and back bumpers.. all u gotta do is get them cut.. i had a shop do it. they painted and installed for 140..
