look, i dont want to argue with anyone about this.....again. but here's a recap, dont reply to this is you are going to diss it.

1. RS are my initals.
2. When I was a kid, I loved the Camaro, especially the RS and Z28.
3. My goal for my Cobalt is to make a car that is slower than a SS and faster than a LS.

If you don't like it I really don't care. Its not you're car.

Besides, if real car people know the truth about the RS.----------------------

it was introduced as another trim level on a camaro.

it was a base model camaro with Z28 suspension and a few exterior features (lip, rims)

---------------

so if you haven't put two and two together, i have a base ls and soon to be suspension mods and performance.

Heh

It's different, but I have one question, not a diss. Why would you want to make a car slower then the SS? I would hope one day it would be faster ^ ^ Justa thought

I think it's cool, but your argument doesn't havea leg to stand on...notice you mention that " Besides, if real car people know the truth about the RS.----------------------

it was introduced as another trim level on a camaro.

it was a base model camaro with Z28 suspension and a few exterior features (lip, rims)"

Yes, i know this as i have looked at hundreds of Camaro's and read many, many articles on the history of the Camaro (It's my favorite car of all time...can't wait for '09!) but that's a Camaro, not a Cobalt, they are in a totally different class. Not trying to diss, like i said, i think it's cool you want to make the car a G-machine, but you don't have to back up your reasoning behind it, just do it and tell all the "haters" out there to mind their buisness. It's your car, nobody elses...that' my 2cents.

I like your RS idea, loks clean and like factory.

Just to correct you though RS was just an appearance package. It never had Z28 suspension. However, 67-69 Z/28s could be ordered with the RS appearance package.

Z/28 Rally Sport

Wait your talking about the 87-82 Camaro RS, right?

The cavalier rs looked good in its time. Had the black lower part on the bumpers and rocker panels and red and black emblems, the interior was similar to the z24, had a ralley type wheel and I believe a little better suspension. I think the non supercharged ss should have been called an rs.

I disagree. I think it's cool that they have 2 SS models...it's like in the old days. You could order your SS with a choice of engines. That's why i think it's cool.

I distinctly remember this exact same conversation with a bunch of insults going to the LS owner's way.

My $0.02: Do what you want, but I wouldn't, you don't have an SS, I don't have an SS, so let's not pretend.

Actually I got this information from I think a 94-96 model. I have a Junior English teacher at school who has a 72 Chevelle, and he likes my car. He has a book titles "Chevrolet Chronicle" and i think it states: "the 94-96 camaro RS package is a base model Camaro with added exterior features and a Z28 tuned suspension" correct me if im wrong on the years. im pretty sure it was a 4-gen camaro early/mid 90s.

This is one thing that always upsets me. Who said he is trying to pretend he has an ss? I like the look of the spoiler, I will most likely get it myself, but it won't be to pretend it's an ss. Why should I pay all of the extra money for an ss to get features I'll never use? I love the look, but I could care less if I have Racing seats or a supercharger, I'm not going to race the car. I just like the style.

My point exactly. You think the average person who sees a cobalt checks for the wing to see if its a ss/sc?
