Does anyone know if the Steering Wheel AIR BAG from the SS HHR is the same as the ones in the Cobalt?

I have an 08 Cobalt SS and I want the SS Steering wheel from the SS HHR.

I has SS emblem, but its going back on the red/black Ponitac Solstice steering wheel I'm installing.

I figured it would look nice with my red/black interior.

Ordered a new one from a parts place that deals in discontinued new parts for Solstice/Sky/Opel in Michigan.

This is where all the Solstice/Sky peps are buying theres and recommended them to me for buying a new one, if I couldn't find a use one.

By the way, you were the one that gave me the idea after seeing a pic of yours. Except I'm going to replace the pontiac center with my SS one.

And my center console cover for the radio, etc was silver from the factory, I painted mine victory red to match the interior.

Recieved the wheel, its a geniune GM part, but the red is to dark. Its not a bright red like my interior, I guess Solstice/Sky/Opel came with a darker red version too. Other then that it looks exactly like my steering wheel except red/black.

Oh well, going back to the place I bought it

You got any good leads on a steering wheel like in your picture that is bright red/black or want to sell yours? I'll give you $200/shipped for it if its in good condition or we can trade my all black one, but I'm keeping my center SS.

 

yeah the steering wheel is a little darker thats how mine is

 

There is a vendor on this site that does custom steering wheel caps. Motor City Vinyl Graphics, he made my cap.

After looking at your pics, yours is only a shade or two off (I could live with one that color), the one I have almost looks like maroon, not as dark but around that shade.

 

did anyone figure out what size it is? and how do you remove the old chevy bow tie symbol (mine is dented)? thanks
