Decided to take the wing off, and see what it looked like in person.

I like it a lot!!! I've decided I'm just gonna have the bodyshop fix the holes and shave the lock on the trunk.

Nice job... I like the wing myself but I think that looks good too. I just cant see taking something off of a brand new car myself...

The wing is a big part fo the cobalts look and if you see how much it costs seperate it was also part fo the cost. So if anyting its like throwing away 500 bucks at least off the bat.

Then to get the trunk fixed on top of that

buy a different car if you dont liek the way it looks new IMO

i like the spolier on the car it goes with it , its not like it was an eye sore or anything like that

but then it looks god with out it as well, so its a win win i guess

That looks slick. You should replace it with RKsport's wing, it flows better than the stocker.

 

most people on here like the wing that comes w/ it but if the car came like that from the factory and people added that wing everyone would hate it and call it rice.

i think the reason people like the wing is because it came stock w/ the car so that is how they are used to seeing the cobalt SS. i personally like it better w/out the wing. looks good man.

 

Perhaps so. For me though.. I absolutely hated the wing at first from the pictures. It looked big and ricey. But, when I finally saw the car in person, it's not nearly as big as the pictures make it look. It fits with the car and doesn't look as ricey. It's amazing how much difference there is from a picture of the car to actually seeing it. It's like it's not the same wing.

 

That looks WAY WAY better wingless . Mine is definately coming off now . When I got the car I tried to get them to switch the trunk out with a base silver coupe . They wouldnt do it though .

I don't care for it at all without the spoiler, but different people have different tastes. I've never owned a car without a spoiler, I think they add a lot to the car which is probably why I don't like the SS without the wing.

 

Sorry, doesn't do it for me. It's like you chopped it's ***** off. The wing is what makes the SS stand out from the rest.

 

Whoa, that suprising looks better than with the wing. Looks more aggressive.

 

I've been looking at ordering the SS body kit for my LS but leaving my LS spoiler on the car and hopefully not having to order the SS one along with the kit. I'm still not too sure how it would look but these pictures give me a somewhat better idea and I think it could work. Anyone know the pricing on this body kit and if it's even available? I can't seem to find it online.

If im going to take the wing off, its going to be for a carbon fiber trunk. CANT wait till they make those.

 

I think that sometimes the wing looks a little oover the top, I wouldn't mind if they made the SS with the smaller spoiler off the LS Sport coupes. Maybe then I could see if there were cops behind me
