Steering Wheel Bulbs

I did a search but came up with nothing.

Can someone provide me with a part number for the bulbs that are in the steering wheel controls? Are they a GM only part or is there another place that would have them perhaps in different colours? I thought I saw a post a while back on this but couldn't find it. Thanx in advance!

if your refering to the steering wheel control lights. they are a soldered led to the circuit board and you need to replace the whole thing, which would be why you can't find a part number for them.

... I changed mine out. I made them red All you need to do is find a 12v led. I had to order mine I couldn't find any 12v around so I did a search online and found them.

have you opened your's up yet. mine is different from yours but at work whenever the lights go we replace the whole unit as the bulbs are supposed to be soldered to the circuit board.

I have.. as previously mentioned that once you take out the control out of the steering wheel on the back there are 3 brown circles which the LED mount to. It could be that your car is different. It also may depend on the year of your car. Mine is a 2006 with the older style steering wheel. For the 07 3 spoke i dont know what the procedure is.
