Suede Steering Wheel in my Balt

I posted this already in my local forum but didn't get to post it here until now. I found that the 2011 Vette's had an option for a suede interior. I found a wheel on ebay and...

The wheel matches the TC seats nicely but doesn't quite match the suede on my shifter (which is real Alcantara) but it looks much more different in pictures then in person for some reason.

I moved all the controls from the balt wheel and even the trim since the controls and wiring are different. BTW, the vette trim is a real nice colour, almost a metallic effect.

Had to make a leg tool to use in my puller since these steering wheels don't have threaded holes and I couldn't find one locally. They started out as 3/8 carriage bolts. I love making tools, it's almost as fun as modding.

I found that a solstice owner swapped a 2012 Vette wheel onto his car at the same time as I did mine. Great minds think alike! LoL!

I'm not a fan of the 2012 wheel but on the right car it could look good. Only issue with that wheel is the steering wheel controls trim pieces are not the same as the cobalt and there is no hole for the cruise switch. The switches behind the trim however, are apparently the same and you could cut out the hole for the cruise switch and mount the Cobalt switches to the 2012 trim.

Oh, and there was a cavalier owner who stuck a cobalt wheel on his car even because the last couple years started using the new parts meant for the delta cars.

Old post, yes, but no one goes into detail on how to use those pullers you made or any other kind of puller that works on our cars for that matter.

Would it be possible to go into a little more detail on how you use them? and how you got the wheel off? I'm trying to do this very same thing but I cant get that stupid wheel off for the life of me. Some guys say to just reef on it. It doesn't budge. haha. Need tools for sure.

Any tips would be helpful, I just don't see how those two little bolts work.
