Superchager

Ive noticed some discoloration on the top of my super charger. Is this normal? It will take me a while to pics but it looks to me like the dull finish that GM put on the super charger is getting rubbed off or baked off. Im not sure. Anybody else see this or is it just my car?

I've seen this on other Eaton superchargers. What you could do is sand it a little and make it shine with a Dremel tool or similar.

Hmm, I just had an idea....polished supercharger. Yes it would take freaking forever but it would look cool.

Powdercoated to match the car, now THAT would be a hot supercharger.

To my knowledge the supercharger is bare aluminum. You could use aluminum wheel cleaner to remove any stains or dirt. Just make sure the supercharger is fairly cool when you hose it off, the last thing you want is to distort or worse crack the case from running cold water on it.

last thing you wanna do is put a coating on the s/c , it will help keep heat inside the case = not good for intake temps

the polished 1's that GM had on the show cars look bad ass

Yeah I love the polished look of the one on the 272 concept, but damn that would be a tedious job.
