Is it tacky...?

...to put decals of different companies on your car? I've only seen someone with a black cobalt that has, I believe, a vinyl or something like that, that says "streetglow" on their side skirt. i thought that looked pretty cool, so I was thinking how would it look if I had more than one. Like, Pioneer...Hahn...Dejon...blah blah blah across the bottom. Any ideas? If that didn't sound good, where else could I put em. If you know how to photoshop and could do a photoshop of my car with something like that on there, that'd be great...

Thanks for your opinions.

IMO if you have a part by each of companys decals you use. No.

Even then you can over do it though.

Im going to order two cobaltss.net decals and put one on each back window, and thats all im going to do decal wise.

Its your car though. Do what YOU like, not what others like.

depends what it is, a club logo or website on your window isn't tacky, but putting part stickers on your doors/sideskirts is. If you want to put them somewhere, do it under the hood on the top part of the plastic grill.

If they arent paying you, YES.....

Also, do you want to advertise what you have on your car?

put them under your hood, underside of the trunklid (so when you open it, you see them)...i even put some around my spare tire haha, but theyre obviously only visible when i have the trunk carpet out. do what YOU want to do with YOUR car. just giving you my opinion

I don't think it's tacky at all.

But I might be a bit biased...

no i dont think its tacky. keep in mind people have their own opinion on everything. what it come down to is its your car and you do what you like. i put a row of decals along my side skirt recently and i think it gives it a nice track car vibe. just make sure you have the parts you advertise and keep it clean not sloppy

I wont put stickers on the outside of my car, thats free advertising for them. If I had a sponsored car then yes.

i would only advertise for those sponsoring my car or those who have helped out tremedously. performance autowerks sponsers my car and then john powell of powell raceshop has helped me out with every other odd and end regarding the chassis and suspension. both of those get their names represented on my car. also the shop i work at gets a spot too but its under the hood so when i have it popped you see everyones stuff.

Exactly. You never want to advertise what you have in YOUR car.

Plus, who bumped this OLD thread & why?

Im thinking about just doing an Alpine one on each side down on the side skirt. I like the look of them all on the side skirt as long as you take your time and make it look clean.

On the outside of the body I think it looks dumb. The way I do it is I put them under my hood, or just slap them on the Cleaning kit box thats in the trunk.

not if you have a box that you have invested serious cash into like mine. couldnt pass up the deal. it had 2 years of use by a retiring mechanic that took amazing care of it. only had like 2 little knicks in it. stainless stop, box, hutch, 2 overheads, cover, all documentation for 5k. not a huge fan of the harley theme but i couldnt pass up the deal.btw since i bought it i took the nascar stickers off the top drawer
