tail light covers

does anyone know where some of theses guys have the tail light covers. they are the ones that cover the outside of the light. i dont know if i want to fully black them out.

I got mine from cobalt-addiction, but be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for some plastic....lol

or you could make your own like I did. I used VHT nightshade from Summit Racing.

tinted?

ne one interested in having there tails and side markers tinted, but not blacked out, let me know, our shop does them for $150. keep in mind that is with them out of the car already so if anyone needs this done let me know. chris

THATS NUTS!!!! Why pay someone $150 when you can get a can of VHT nightshade and a can of clear coat for $30-35, and do it in a little less than 2 hours.

Yeah not to say that isn't alot but any good tinting place would charge you that. It's almost like a custom tail light cover if i know what he's talking about. My boss got it on his SL500. It's actually like a really thick plastic like tint that is actually heated and molded onto the lights. It looks so much cleaner and nicer than that can **** and you can take them off easily enough I believe.

$150 is wayyy too much to pay
the whole car can be tinted for $150, why would someone pay that much for easy labor??
a monkey can spray paint...

I paid like 60 bucks for my covers from cobalt addiction.

Yeah, it was about $60 or so. And painting them was a breeze, if you want black and not that tint look.

someone on here tinted their tail lights but left the white part white for the reverse light. it looked awesome. ill try to find the thread

First, it is "half assed". Second, it looks great if you do it right. Several very light coats and it looks good.

taped off with regular painter blue tape
after takein off the tape, give it like 2 coats of clear coat to smothen the edges
