Tail lights tinted by Whyyoumadson?
Had my tail lights professionally tinted by Matt, they turned out great! They've got a medium tinting on them, which looks perfect to me, still shows a small amount of red, and a VERY transparent paint (lets a lot of light through). These have the same glossy finish that the factory tail lights do, you can't tell at all that they were painted. Thanks again!
comparison to untinted Envoy tail lights, which are the same color mine used to be.

Yeah its really not that hard at all to do, i do them all the time for people around here where i live. We actually take the lights off and wet sand them with either a 1,000 or 1,500 grit sand paper, then we clean them and mask the areas we do not want painted, then what we do it we tint the clearcoat and spray them like that, when they dry we wet sand and buff them to make them look smooth and shinny. Works perfect everytime, i might do my headlights and taillights soon. The only reason why im debating is becuase i dont want the warning light system in my car to get discolored

first off id like to say thanks for the review. im glad to see that your happy with them. they do look good i must say. this is one of my favorite sets that i have done.
second of all...your right this isnt rocket science....but idont even wetsand these. theres absolutely no reason to. yes i do scuff them up extremely well with a grey scuff pad and scuff stuff. they scuff EXTREMELY easy so no need to use 1000 o 1500. also not to mention they not everyone has the time, skill, materials, to use a spray gun. the clear i use is VERY VERY easy to run if your not careful and because of the surface of the lights and shape they are very easy to run aswell. the clear i use flows out like you wouldnt believe. ill find some pics of lights while they are still in the booth before buffing. literally zero orange peel. i only buff them if i get dirt in them. also i dont like the finish i get using just black basecoat so i do something a little different then the rest. it lets for more light omittence and a deeper looking finish.
last but not least im going to say this here to anyone that wants this done. it take a minimum of a week and a half. i do not bake these lights because of the amount of clear that goes on especially the darker shades. i do not want to risk things such as solvent pop, major runs, etc etc. if i get those it means risking having to redo the lights and not having a perfect match every time. i like to let the lights dry over night( i spray them around 5pm) and cure for the next 2-4 days before i wetsand and buff them. this assures the clear is rock hard when its ready to ship.
thanks for the compliments and whitney has it right. im in chicago. im working on getting another spare set so that i can ship out to people who need their car daily or core system. eveyrone pm me for details.

I thought that was a neon until i saw the reflection in your bumper.
They look like mine after the nightshade has faded like a ****.
I'm sure the light output is way better than mine though. lol
Love your car

Matt's work is fantastic and he's a real helpful guy who stands by his work. I'll put up installed pics once I can get my hands on a camera or my blackberry e-mail starts working.
