Tailight measurements

Could someone do me a huge favor and measure the width of the lights on the ss/sc, i had an idea and im working with someone on comming up with something sweet, and my car is at home in the garage..... I just need the width across of the tailights and the back up lights, they look like about 3 inches, and like 2.5 inches, but i just want to be sure.... will keep you guys posted on what we come up with, Thanks, tommy

try 5.5 and 4.5...roughly. I got close but not exact.

thanks bro, as for pics, we have nothing yet, but it will look alot like led tails, 4 circles im working with mkl, the led king..... will keep everyone posted

you know what might work. I saw these LEDs that slid into the whole. They were shaped like a star when unfolded.....well 5 points with 4 or 5 LEDs on each stem. Also, truckers have LEDs on their trailers.....

yeah, they are called spider lights, i dont want shapes though, just 4 open circles, i may have to take the light apart, and we still havent come up with how to mount them yet, got any ideas?

I haven't looked closely at them. (planned on it, just not yet)
I see trucks when I drive to work everday though, which is what gave me the idea.
They are one light too, when the brakes are hit, they get brighter.....I like that better than 2 sets, one for the running light and both for the brake light.
