These projectors good?

Im slowly researching into my mods, and the first one will be some projectors and HID lights

Are these projectors off ebay any good? Do i need to do any other mods to get these to work or is it all plug and play? Also do these projector light still use a 9700 bulb?

Or

Which is the better one? one says its brighter then the other, but also looks like a bit different style.

I had problems with the first link you had (1st Gen) so im upgrading to your second link (2nd gen). My halos and l.e.d lights burnt out shortly after i installed them. I hear that the 2nd gens are better so i guess ill find out next week when they come in.

im guessing he means the led light bar across the top. Either way i just want something thats good quality and will last. Not going to pay over $200 for them to break in a short time lol

The bulbs used are H1's for most projectors. Some use H8 I believe. I have the first gens, they look nice and can be had cheap used. Only problem is they need to be wired individually, soo they are not plug and play. This is OK as the HIDs have to be wired anyways. Also the halos are not that bright unless its dark out...

When i was reading up on them, they all said direct fit and plug and play, this is not the case?

Thanks for the link CobaltVenom, i like those. What changes did they improve on for the 3rd gen?

so 2nd gen is plug and play but 3rd isnt? That doesnt make sense to me lol, i can see first gens not being plug and play but if they improved on the 2nd gen and made it easier install why would they change it back for the 3rd gen?

Also can i use regular bulbs with these instead of HID?

it's only us who call "gens" don't get confused..

they're not all made by the same company so V3 isn't better than V2

in fact it lacks CCFL technology and the plug and play capability.
