For those of you with shaved trunk locks...

Pulled off my wing last night, and going to talk to a shop about filling and welding the holes as well as shaving my trunk lock and antenna, but I'm kinda curious as to what I'm going to do if my trunk popper ever fails on me... Also, the ONE time I disconnected my battery I foolishly forgot and slammed my trunk shut... DOH... Is there a way to make sure the back seats don't lock shut so they can always be pulled down so I can crawl back there to access the release handle? And I'm not even sure where it is but I've read about it... Hahaha not sure if I'm ready for this...

even if your key fob fails , what about the trunk popper button in the dash?

That stopped working when I disconnected my battery so I'm guessing it just activates the same solonoid that the key fob does. I'm worried about the solonoid failing alltogether. I realize there's probably a slim chance of that happening, but it happens and I don't want to be up the creek. I've heard of trunk poppers and door poppers failing before. Maybe I can find a way to zip tie the back seat release handles open so the lock mechanisms never slam shut... I'll take a look at it today...

Also, if I ever do the same thing again - diconnect my battery after the lock is shaved and accidently close teh trunk - I'm screwed. Dash button won't work, key fob won't work, etc.

The 2.4L wing is too narrow for the ass of the car. Everytime I see another 2.4L, I cringe because I dislike how it looks. The other night I saw some guy in a laser blue 2.4L and I said ****, if that's how my car looks it's coming off. And it did the next day. My plan has always been to put on the RKSport 3 peice spoiler, but I'm digging the wingless look so much I might leave it this way once everything is shaved.
