my friend used toothpaste. no BS. he packed it in there tight and used a hair dryer to dry it. painted over the toothpaste w/ a paint marker and hasn't came off yet. even when he washes it. his car is white though so i dunno about black. i would take it into a shop to fill it and paint it.

i need to shave em down first, whats my best bet for that?

i saw all types of fillers at pep boys so the filling isnt an issues. the real problem is grinding the nubs down to the surface without ******* up the paint good.

Maybe, tape all around it and sand paper or metal file??

Duct tape will leave a residue though. Blue painters masking tape would be better. Do a couple layers if you are worried about filing through.

And finally someone notices.

If you can get a deburring tool use that. They are made to remove sharp edges on a drilled hole. You should be able to pick one up for less than 10 bucks. It looks like a countersink bit on a screwdriver like handle. That way you can fill the holes and paint over them without having to use those plugs. But if you don't mind the look of those plugs that'd be the easiets cheapest route. Nevermind about the plugs being cheapest, I wouldn't pay $50 for them either. Let me know if you have any more questions about the deburring tool

i'd atleast go see what it would cost to do at a body shop.
obviously best quality

i dont know about you but if i had some half assed thing done on my car that i have already upgraded for appearance, it would seriously bother me to have a hole filled and covered poorly (like with toothpaste, thats hilarious). but thats just me and its a matter of opinion.

I would suggest JB Weld. It is a 2 component Bondo type material that dries permanent in 24 hours. Then you can paint marker it or simply paint it with any low cost paint and small brush

yea i just bought a couple little black plugs from ace hardware, they fit fine, they would look even better on your car since they are black, but mine doesnt stand out too much

Bondo isn't going to fix the edges protruding out, which is what he was having trouble with.

Jesus Cowboy! I thought you were talking about a different kind of "3 freaking holes!"

I thought we were required to have front license plates here in Illinois... If not, I'm pissed b/c I wouldn't have drilled them!
