What would be the best tint % in a cobalt? im thinking about going 5% and yes i know anything under 35% is considered illegal but i dont care about the police so any suggestions and by the way i have a victory red color on my balt if that helps any lol

cobalt has 7%, the car next to me (boyfriends malibu) has limo.

I got 5% and i love it cant see me!!!

 

I wont go under 35% becouse I dont want a ticket.

So 35% is best for me.

 

I've got 5% smoked tint all around with 16% titanium tint on the windshield.

i went 5 on the front strip.. 35 on the doors and 20 on the back half... i want darker might get it layered 2 have 20 on the front doors..

 

You can't see in the car but you can see out titanium tint very well.

 

I have 15% on mine. Had the same mentality about the police as you... Until they hit me with a $160 ticket

 

I had 5% on the backs only on my old SS nothing on the fronts the police here pounce on anything with front windows tinted

 

i just got pulled over yesterday my tint was at 35 it needs to be at 50 im illegal but he cut me slack. 140.00 tickety is what the cop said.

I had 5 in back 3 and 20 driv and pass.

I have none now. I got 3 tickets in 3 months. Didn't have to take the rears off but I personally don't like it when you only have the rears tinted.

Thinking about going 35 all the way around. Police are hard around here for me.

If you don't care, 5% FTW! Deff looks the best IMO.

 

i had 2 layers of 5% of suntek carbon on the back and side windows and 35% on the windshield of carbon and it was the darkest **** you have ever seen, the installer reccomended some stuff called infiniti for the windshield cuz its easier to see out of but more reflective, im guessing its about the same as the titanium...

had the tint for like 6 months til i got pulled over pulling out of mcdonalds

still got the windshield tint and double 5% on the back windows but just have 35% on the sides now which looks terrible IMO

and to the dude with 15% on the windshield, im glad someone else feels my pain...my 35% isnt as dark but with tinted headlights seeing infront of me at night is a BITCH

I have a couple friends with their front windows tinted 20. They have HID's and they still have some trouble at night.

 

i talked with a few cops around me that said darker tint is much more noticeable on lighter color cars. They said i might get away with 20% on the front and they said my friend most likely wont get pulled over with 5% b/c his car is black and harder to notice
