Im sheduled to get tint put on next week. can i please see people with black tint. either 35% all around or 20% all around. trying to decide what it will look like (not interested in anyother percents although 5% looks sick not willing to get that much attention from the local police. thanks guys!

This is 30% but read 21% on the state troopers tint meter lol

I know you want 35 or 20, but here's 25 on front windshield strip and front windows, and 20 on rear windows and rear windshield.

 

Looks good! keep em coming guys. Starting to see that 35 ish comes out allot darker than i thought (im sure its darker on the car than it is just on its own on a sheet of glass) i may not go as dark as 20 but love the pics

 

I see you're from Winnipeg. I am also. Since i've been 16 i've run 35% in the front and 15% in the rear on every vehicle i owned. Up until 2 years ago... I got pulled over on sunday cruze night for nothing but them checking my tint because it looked dark. Well it was $140 fine and 2 demerets. Luckly i went and tinted my car to legal limit and sweet talked my way out of the ticket just getting a $70 fine and no demerets. Ever since then i've been pulled over 3 times to get my tint checked. Guess when they run my plate it comes up i've had a tint ticket. I just bought an SS/SC a month ago and about to tint my windows. I sooooo badly wanna go 35% but it's just not worth it. Cops in Winnipeg are ****'s lol. Just thought i'd share my story with ya to help you're decision.

 

thanks allot, i posted that exact question under the local section. good to know, having second thoughts about tinting at all since 50%just doesnt seem worth it... on the front and different shades in lower tints looks wierd (not so bad when you get allot darker on both......)

Well 50% in the front and 35% in the rear is still better than nothing. I ran a 10" 2.5% strip across the front windshield of my cavalier and it darkened it up inside a bit too. Never got hassled over the strip because if you pull down your sunvisor it goes way lower than the strip and you cant see through it haha.

 

lol nice. true enough. wonder if anyone makes a tint strip that fades out gradually (for the windshield)

 

35 isn't dark at all in person but pictures can make them look black

This is very true...I have 35% and it really doesn't seem dark at all. 30% seems like a big difference though...20-30% is perfect for these cars. It just depends on the car color, the lighting (is the sun shining directly on the windows or is it cloudy, etc), and other factors.

True. I have 35% and on darker / cloudy days it looks dark. But all together, its not bad

 

35% doesnt look bad at all but the cops dont look at it and say "ah that doesnt look so bad". They put a tint meter on you're window, then give you a nice fine and 2 demerets

I got legal tint...not even sure what it is here in the Peg..

 

50%driver passenger and 35 on the rest. I basically decided to f$&@ the tint.
