Tint Ticket Question

On Thursday I'm doing 20% tint all around on my balt. In NJ its illegal though, does anyone in NJ know how much the ticket is if I get pulled over? Also it doesn't effect your insurance right? My parents are freaking out thinking I'm gonna get a ticket for it and have my insurance go up.

PS. Anyone wanna post pics of there 20% tinted balts so I can get an idea of what its gonna look like?

if you will most likely get a ticket, it will be a "fix it" ticket. meaning you have to take the tint off, and prove that it's off.

But i doubt you'll get a ticket for 20%...mines a waaay darker than that i have 2% and when i got all those tickets i had 28% on the windshield....it never made my insurance go up though because it wasnt a moving violation...you should be fine if you see a cop roll the windows down

I'm from NJ with 15% and haven't gotten jack **** in tickets. My buddies dad is a cop and he told me it's only like $50 for the ticket. I wish I got 10%, though. I only got 15% in hopes cops wouldn't pull me over.

Pics (from facebook so if it doesn't work PM me and I'll upload elsewhere):

Ohio limit is 50% in front of the A-Pillar, No limit behind A-pillar. You can have a70% sunshield

Ive, had a ticket for the tint in brooklyn and it cost me about 300. I took the tint in front of the a-pillar off. 5% was all around, now only occupies the rear, which Id like to make darker.

find a cobalt like yours without tint. put yur plates on, take a pic.

Then put yur plates back.

And then don't drive your car to your court date. provide the picture of your "car" without tint in court.

should get you by. at least it has in my area many times. not involving any of my rides of course though.

think outside of the box.

Yeah you do fail inspection, but I just got inspected, so I'm good for a few years. Alright I just wanted to make sure it doesn't go on your insurance because around here its only a $55 ticket which isn't awful. But I don't need my rates going through the roof on this.

hehehe, naw tint tickets are not traffic violations in the sense they don't get reported to the insurance.

hehehe.. I like your way of thinking!

If by some chance you F'ed this process up and the courts found out you were lying to them. (Im by far not a lawyer) but you might be facing some type of "perjury" charges for lying to the court? Just don't get caught doing this I guess.
