tint touchups?

hey guys got my LS coupe tinted about 3 weeks ago now and still have some bubbling going on around the edges esp. in rear window....took it in and they retinted passenger side because of their fuckup but didnt really touchup any of the bubbles...i don't have the time or patience to keep visiting til they get it right..

i guess i have a series of questions...i'm going to ride it out for the winter (its already 50 degrees and aint warmin up) and then take it back after it starts getting warmer if these imperfections are still there....questions are as follows:

1) should i expect to see them disappear once it's warmer - say 80s and 90s? or will this most likely have no effect by then? could the cooler temps (has only been in the 70s since i got it tinted) be a factor here, or could it be a shotty tint job altogether - they are very well known in this area and i haven't heard any complaints - then again i am **** about these things? (obviously they guarantee no bubbling or peeling for the life so they WILL have to fix it if it doesnt fix itself)..

2) are there any steps i could take try to see if they will come out (already tried squeegeing them out and nothing)...i dont want to take a chance of damaging the tint, so any simple advice? i.e. try a hair dryer...buy a cheap heat gun and heat them out...wait til winter is over and make them fix...etc

3) i also have few small pieces of dust in the top of the rear window - doesnt bother me at all...but on the rear driver's side (small) window there is a big piece of white dust near the dot matrix pattern - any suggestions for possibly getting this out, or should i just wait for spring and make them retint?

sorry for the long-winded post...just lookin for some tips or at least some peace of mind saying that these bubbles will/or may disappear over time...i know no tint job is perfect which is why i dont mind the small pieces of dust and what not, but as much bubbling i'm having around the edges of the rear window is unacceptable to me....anyone else have similar issues with this car and tinting?

thanks all!

Take a NEW, SHARP razor and make a small slice in the bubbles. The press the air out, and, PRESTO! No bubbles!

no hurry, i'm sure others will chime in at some point....looking for all the advice/tips/experience others have had even if it's not pro. knowledge obviously...

the utility knife is exactly what they did when i dropped it off...so i'll have a go at the small bubbles that are left some time...

that way usually works for larger bubbles, but the small bubbles can be a pain in the ass. they're usually caused by oil from fingers, dirt, or something else that got between the tint and the glass. best bet is to have them retinted by a better shop

be careful, I know my tint shop told me not to mess with it if theres a problem, theyd touch it up which they only had to do once... theres a possibility that the place you went to isn't good with cobalts or they just have poor customer service

I'd avoid messing with the tint. I know most places will fix it. I know that a heatgun/hairdryer is used for clients who want to open their windows quickly, not sure if it takes all the bubbles out. As far as the back window goes, its shaped real nicely.....LOL and those edges with the little bubbles are a pain to get the tint to stick (like the top of the back window). Personally, I am either going to get that painted or have vinyl put there.

I'm having the same problem. I have these huge bubbles on the top of the back window. I've already tried squeegeing and used a roller but nothings working really. So I was thinking about the vinyl strip....Does anyone have any pics??

Any good tinter will have given you a warranty for your tint. You should go back to where it was tinted and have the tint re-done.
