I dont have this but Im gonna pick it up. Looks like it works like window tint except outside (the light) instead of inside (the window).

VHT nightshade go here http://www.vhtpaint.com/niteshades.html
I used a sprey i got at the hobbie store on my bmw. Its sold in the model car section as model car window tint. I used a couple different brands they had and they all worked better then vht niteshades because niteshades always left a reddish purple haze to it and never got as shiny as the other two i used. I think the one was winning finish and the other dupont. Ill hopefully get to post pictures 2moro.
Out here in California that would be a ticket magnet and they are technically illegal everywhere in the country since it doesn't comply with the DOT/FMVSS's (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards). You also hurt light output and increase the chance you'll drive up on something at night before you have time to react. With that said, if you're going to do it I'd recommend something like these. They use a special 3M film and are technically removable. It will also provide protection to the housing and keep it from pitting and yellowing.
Nightshades will not make your lights look red. I have my headlights tinted with nightshades right now, and there is Zero red on them. I only did 3 coats cause I didnt want them too dark, they look alright but not what I wanted. A bit on the grey side, I feel like the only way to get a good color with the spray is to put a few more coats on and I just didnt want to make my lights that dark. I maybe have a 5-10% decrease in visibility, maybe. But I do have HIDS in projectors. My opinion, buy a tint film, like this one http://www.headlightarmor.com/05-09-...ction-kit.aspx or one like it.
