Tinted my G5 taillights
Tinted my G5 taillights
They are as dark as they go (whole can). I messed up a little on the third brake light, but nothing a little sanding couldn't fix. The pics were taken with my cell phone, so the quality sucks, but it'll do.

You need pics! BTW..I recently got pulled over for my tinted tails. I gotta get laquer thinner, remove em and then put on some removable vinyl light covers. Anyone ever had em?
Cant See The Pics!!!!
I wouldnt use thinner. Use brake fluid. And the vinyl sucks from what ive heard

Dont go by what I say. Post a thread and see if people actually found vinyl useful or not. But knowing this site and from what ive seen, is that VHT Spray is the way to go.
And dont take my word for it about the brake fluid. Someone told me that, and no one ever said he was wrong. So I guessed he was right. And I heard someone say that thinner will melt the plastic.
NICE TAILS DUDE. A lil to dark for my taste, but awesome turn out. You use any clear coats?

yea i hate to say it but your prolly gonna get popped for thoee. those are really dark. i did my origonal set and they were sop dark you couldnt see my lights at night if someone had there headlights on behind me. anyway i think the silver and black looks good. that what im doing too. but you may have to lighten them
I don't know, you can see my taillights perfectly when I hit the brakes, both at day and night. Plus, I live in West Virginia. Cops here could care less about that stuff.
You'll see. And I thought it wasnt illegal for a cop to pull you over just as long as you can see red. Hmmmm, im going to have to ask a cop this question.
