hey guys i tinted my tail lights, what ya think?

 

i think you could have gone a little darker. well done though

 

yea i would say a tad darker too

but props on the clean job

 

throw some clear coat on em, and they will look mad ****.

HAHA yeh thats my son, and yeh i should have went darker, but its ok

 

I say it looks good. When the reason I didn't get red when I was buying my cobalt was because I really liked the unique shape of the tail lights and I felt the red made them blend in too much. Tinting them makes them once again stand out.

yeh i didnt want them to dark, our town just got a new police dept. so they are egar on pulling just about anyone over for anything

 

Clear them...so they don't look 'dirty'.

Looking sweet man, wish I coulda made it out last night too.

I see you had the same fun time of fighting the tail lights to get them out as I did this week!

I just mine on wends.

I too didnt go to dark because of the cops. Dont want to have to buy new ones, we are about the same darkness.

And from my experiences already, dont go darker, you CANT see backing up, theres hardly any light AT ALL anymore.

 

use vaseline or in my case Vicks Vaporub and wipe the edges with rubbing alcohol.



Wet sand VERY lightly to remove the inpurities, then clearcoat.
