Tinted Side View Mirrors?

Some of you might thing this is a stupid idea but hear me out.

I want to tint my side view mirrors.

Why?

When I get off of work it's dark, and the rednecks in this part of the country have discovered a little invention called fog lamps. They don't know how to use them properly, turning both them AND their lights on as soon as night begins to fall. There was a Dodge Ram right on my bumper all the way home with their brights AND fog lamps on. I gave them the "lay the **** back" signal (tapped the brake lightly a few times really fast) but they didn't get the hint.

The 20% tint on my windows do nothing to filter out the light, and I really hate adjusting my mirrors to point down because they're manual and harder than **** to get fixed back right.

So would it be possible to tint my side view mirrors? You think the tint would hold up?

Wouldn't that require replacing the entire mirrors? The only non-factory mirrors made for the Cobalt are the $10 a pair eBay specials and I highly doubt they have such a feature.

auto-dimming mirrors, most GMs with this feature only had it on the ISRV mirror and driver OSRV mirror

idk if it was ever available on a cobalt. OP would have a bit of wiring to do if available, starting with manual mirrors

i dont think it was availible from the dealer but i was going to add it on my cobalt from a shop he said it could be done but it is going to be a pain in the ass that it is 100% better if it came from the factory lol

thats what i did and peoples brights right on my ass dont even bother me.
if the windows are tinted, the light reflecting off the mirror wont be as bright.

I'd love to add some spotlights to the back to shine right back at their ass! Talk about looking hick though, unless I could push a button and have them pop up outta the roof, James Bond-style.

My windows are tinted 20% all around, but like I said, redneck douche bags do not know how to dim their lights or when it's appropriate/inappropriate to use their fog lamps.

Most vehicles I see at night drive with headlights + fogs on the clearest of nights. It's not only "redneck douche bags".

those are actually functional and filter out the light... i had them on some aftermarket apc mirrors i had on my mazda...

not sure if tint shops sellt his blue tint stuff but it does work and is worth a shot. i'd do it... but my 5% tint filters all light out pretty good.

Yeah there's quite a bit of people that don't know when and when not to use them. Come to think of it, most redneck-mobiles don't even have two functioning headlights let alone fog lights

i have mine on all the time, even in the daytime. fogs point at the ground, so i don't see them bothering you unless it's a huge ass truck. my SS has an auto-dimming interior rear view mirror, and that's all i need.

if the fogs bother you that much, then you should probably wash the sand out of your vagina.

sadly they discovered HID too and put them in there stock housing and blind you to death too. (((((

Redneck trucks on like 40'' monster tires with HID ftl fucken hate it.

You think they turn there lights off at red lights? Hell No! At lease the semi trucks have the crusty to turn there headlights off at red lights.
Even thou HID more blinding then a semi truck :/

Yesss, and it's always the truck/SUV drivers that do this too. One night a car behind me was so close and their lights were so bright that it looked like the dome light was on. The worst would have to be a Jeep one night that had HID's in their stock housing and fog lamps.
