please dont take this the wrong way...... but i think you should redo them. i looks like you taped them off. when you light them up it will look funny. when you redo them paint the hole light and only tape off the the casing and not the red plastic. it will look better if youonly do three coats of paint.

Dark FTW!!. Mine are about that dark and i've driven infront of cops, beside cops, on the highway and there fine. You can still see mine during the day as well. you could do a few more coats of clear to shiny them up a bit more, but all in all there fine.

Here In Georgia, I asked a dude at a shop about doing this, and he didnt think it was a good idea.
Said it was Illegal. I know that question is asked like a million times in here, and theres a 50 different anwsers.
But I didnt risk it.

how the hell does the 3rd brake light cover come off?? i didnt take the carpet off the trunk lid all the way so im sure there is somewhere under there.

carry some paint thinner with you... it rubs that **** right off.

you have to take off the carpet liner to pop the 3rd brake tail light out.

lol just take the carpet out. i still need to get mine done. only thing im afraid of is doing wayy too much and the fact that i usually have to drive my car every day. so letting the lights sit for a day isnt always an option.

and out of curiosity i asked a shop how much they would charge and they said 80 bucks. lol.

thats like 7 cans of niteshades.

Use one can, do 3 coats of 'shad, 4 coats of clear and they will come out like mine, 5 coats of nightshade is almost black, had to remove it from my boy's 07 eclipse.

i purchased 1 can of nite shades and 1 can to clear top coat. I did my side markers today and i still have some of both cans left.

It doesnt take long to dry... plus i did them over night. I waited about 15 mins between coats and just let them dry over night... then installed them in the morning.

during the day you really cant see that light... but @ night they light up really well. I know someone who had theirs darker than mine and he hasnt been busted yet so im not worried.

edit: 80 bux is BS man... take about 18 bux to advance auto parts (if you have one) buy the stuff and take about 2 hrs of your night coating then let them dry over night.

just go to autozone and buy the "clips" with the screw top. SO that way, you can just pop them right in and if you want to take them out, all you do is unscrew it loose.
