Are those illegal? I think its a cool look, what the worst fine I could get If I got pulled over for those?
It depends on the state. Check your local DMV for a "rules of the road" book and it should say in there. The wording won't be specific so you may have to read between the lines.
In Illinois, you are going to get a fix it ticket for that. No points or anything like that.

lol see in Illinois the cops are nice, over here in new york everythings illegal. I crashed my car fixed it and had no license plate for a few days first day driving it like still wet paint. I'm driving home already cops pull me over for no front license plate and altered exhasut im like wtf?!?!!?
Check you local laws but I can almost gurantee its illegal. In Illinois you wouldnt get a fix it ticket because theres no fixing to be done, you put it on on purpose. You would get an Illegal Lighting ticket, the same you get for underglows, they run about 480 dollars. Give or take.
it is illegal to have light emmiting from your vehicle for cosmetic purposes period. not to mention those will get stolen everytime you park somewhere since they just screw onto your air valves

thats why I keep the cosmetic lighting for the inside...
Tire lights, probably illegal...however, these rims are DEFINATELY illegal! For only $12,500 you can have a 22" set! Who would buy some crap like this?

There must be something illegal about them. I see them on the shelves at wal-mart every time I go there... but I've never seen them on a single vehicle on the road... none of the ricers even have them.
Personally... Tire lights = rice... but still... the fact that I've seen 0 cars with them on is very interesting.

I did a little quick research... According to the NC DMV... the only lights legal on a vehicle are as follows...
1) Headlights that are not Red, Blue, or Green
2) Amber turn signals
3) Amber side markers (I believe the tire lights would fall in this category, as they are on the side of the vehicle)
4) Red tail/brake lights (rear turn signals may also be red if integrated into the brake lights)
5) White reverse lights
So... if you want to go with the yellow ones... you could probably get away with it.

honestly, ive known a couple people that bought those things, and they only last like a week tops before mother nature and high rpms kill them. they arent worth your money. Nobody is impressed by them, and they dont even last long.

Around here the city cops just give you a fix it ticket and make you take the neon off. I know of three people that's happened to. I know things are a lot different in the cities where the cops try to do anything to get out of fighting real crime so I can imagine you would get big tickets there.
In MD they are illegal! They flash on and off and ANY flashing lights other then hazzard lights are illegal, tire lights included.
Yes I do know people that have been pulled over for them and have gotten tickets. BTW its a $75.00 fine in MD for flashing lights on a non-emergency vehicle and thats what they nail you for.

lol lucky me i live in the ghetto... ive had those flashing lights before and never got pulled over... anyway someone gave me said lights for free... he even put them on for me because i would never have done so myself... anyway they dont look like that picture unless you going like 100mph so other then that it donesnt look that great... oh and i had them on for a while until i got new rims so them lights went in the trash.
