Trunk badge over keyhole?

Hey guys, long time no post.

Recently I saw this video that someone uploaded of my car, and it really reminded me how bad the trunk keyhole stands out, especially on my car where I have a dark color scheme, having lots of things blacked out.

So, I was thinking about putting the trunk badge back on, over the keyhole. I have it mocked up with tape here.

I know at first it seems weird, but it's really growing on me. What do you guys think?

I'd rather look at a lock, than a big chevy emblem

I haven't seen any that look good, but if you've got any suggestions I'd love to hear them.

If you did that and didn't seal it right water and debree could build up in and around the key hole.

It looks pretty weird there, like it slid down the trunk in the hot sun or something

i like it, think it looks different. but clean still. better then putting an off colour plug to hide the keyhole.

Whatever that is under your left taillight is just as disconcerting as the trunk lock. Perhaps even more so as there is not a similar one on the right. No symmetry.

This the 17mm should work for the doors, the 1" is about the best I have seen for the trunk without shaving. Either that or paste an autobot emblem on it

Pics of how you did this? Especially on what you did to make the pivot and how it aligns with the bottom piece of the bow tie

What about the SS badge? That'd probably look weird though.
