Trunk hole diameter?

I'm planning on removing my spoiler and filling the holes with painted trim plugs / christmas tree plugs. I don't have a garage at the moment and it rains a lot in Florida so I want to do this in one sitting. This means I need to make sure I have all the right parts before I start. Does anybody know the diameter of the holes left in the trunk after removing the spoiler including the diameter between the strange hook shaped holes? I'm hoping to find a plug that will fit in the center hole and still cover them up. I cant measure them from the inside because there is an extra piece of metal in the way and I don't want to take the spoiler off yet because of said rain issue. I know this isn't the "real" way to do this but but any info would be great. Thanks.

okay, heres where I became upset, and I'm sure you will too.

I'm not 100% sure, but its something I would look at.
Thanks to our huge high rise, we have two round holes that are easy to fill with a plug, as well as two semi-circle holes around it for some glue to come through.
I would take your trunklid liner out and make sure, but I'm almost positive they're there.

I just read your entire post, and I completely skipped the part about where you talked about the other holes... bahaha.

Electrical tape ftw.

Yeah I might end up having to do that temporarily so I can measure the size and get the right part.

Blue painters tape inside and out. Its waterproof, and stays on at 100+. Take a sharpie and color it black. Then when you have some extra scratch find a shop to fill em in. Or, do the body work yourself and just have them repaint the deck lid. Body work is not hard. It requires patience, and a nice cold 6 pack to keep the stress level in check. Take your time, and the shop will have minimal finishing sanding to do.

So I removed one side of the spoiler today to measure the holes and noticed 3 things....

1- OMG the paint. Its flaked off down to the bare metal all under the pillar.
2- I do not have those odd hook shaped holes in my trunk, only two round ones.
3- The holes are 8mm in diameter
