hasnt stopped me from runnin hids in my gen 3's either.. works just fine.. dont know bout the rest of em but my projector lens is pretty deep so the hid bulbs fit just fine..

lol i dont think it would catch fire just melt the lens and i've heard more bout halogen bulbs meltin the lens and nothin bout hids hurtin it in any way..
